After obtaining her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in management with a focus on human resources and administration, Barb began her career in Michigan before making the big move to Colorado. She then spent over a decade in higher education, working in both recruitment and professional development for a nationally-ranked university. In 2016, Barb seized upon an opportunity to embark on a new journey when she entered the world of human resources consulting and shortly thereafter, continued her family’s legacy of entrepreneurship, when she founded REO Consulting, LLC.
The youngest of eight children, Barb was born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and proudly calls herself a Yooper. Outside of the office Barb enjoys yoga, skiing, cycling, traveling, good wine, and time spent with family and friends.

With experience in the high-tech, healthcare, and ski and outdoor industries, Stacy helped companies achieve their business goals, all while expanding her skill set as well as her professional network.
Ready for a change, Stacy spent several years in secondary admissions at the Daniels School of Business at the University of Denver, where she helped students through a professional development-focused admissions process. She then compiled her decades’ worth of business knowledge and contacts and set out to began her consulting career, where she focuses on helping people put their best professional foot forward through comprehensive professional development consulting and assisting companies in finding their next great employee.

With over 20 years experience in sales, marketing and account management, Rebecca brings a wealth of experience from the publishing, law and photography industries to REO. She is thrilled to build upon the knowledge, relationships and skill set she has acquired in her professional roles. Rebecca prides herself on authentically connecting with people and offering solutions-based consultative services to every client’s unique needs. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in English from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
Although Rebecca is a native Texan, she is beyond excited to now call beautiful Colorado her home. If you don’t see her hiking, biking, skiing, gardening or any activity that involves the vast blue skies and sunshine outside, you will find her curled up with a good book.

Ellie Karre
Consultant, Talent Acquisition
Ellie’s passion for people, along with an innate ability to build positive relationships, make her a natural recruiter. Ellie has earned a bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on management and marketing, and brings with her over 15 years of experience in customer service, business development, recruiting strategy and talent solutions. Since 2011, Ellie has been an advocate and fundraiser for the Foundation Fighting Blindness, and most recently worked for the state of Colorado’s Business Enterprise Program, where she taught blind and legally blind individuals the knowledge and skills needed to operate their own food service business.
Most days you will find Ellie spending quality time with her two beautiful and bright young children, and enjoying quality time with her family in the great outdoors of Colorado!

Aubrey Schwenk
Consultant, Talent Acquisition
Originally from Missouri, Aubrey earned her B.S. in Biology from a small, liberal arts college in Nebraska before relocating to Denver. Aubrey’s career began at the Denver Zoo where she worked as an intern zookeeper before deciding to start her own business, The Pet Valet.
Aubrey managed The Pet Valet for 20 yrs, honing her skills in marketing, business development, and hiring and maintaining a full and engaged staff. Her unique background and first-hand experience in running her own business gives her a marked insight into the challenges that other businesses face in hiring new team members. Aubrey is excited to bring her expertise to REO Consulting and help other companies find exceptional new hires.
In her spare time, Aubrey maintains her passion for nature and animals and can be found on a hiking trail or supporting Metro Denver Cat, an organization that spays/neuters and releases feral cats in the Denver metro area. She also can be found volunteering for We Don’t Waste, a local Denver non-profit whose mission is to help Denver residents with food insecurities by recovering quality, unused food from the food industry, keeping food waste out of landfills and feeding those in need.
